PRINCIPAL NICOLA BOWDEN, A.R.A.D., P.D.T.C.Dip., trained at the Arts Educational School (London). After graduating she joined the Vienna Festival Ballet Company, touring the UK and Europe. Nicola was soon invited to dance a number of soloist roles, including Clara in the Nutcracker, Little Swans in Swan Lake, Floresten in Sleeping Beauty, Pas-de-Six in Giselle as well as the principle role in Tales of Vienna Woods. Nicola left to join the Dancer's Company where she performed in a wide range of classical and contemporary works created by internationally renowned choreographers. After completing a year touring Europe with The Wiener Ballet Theatre Company Nicola attended the Royal Academy of Dancing Professional Dancer's Teaching Course, graduating with Distinction in 1991. Since graduating Nicola has taught at Elmhurst, Italia Conti and at The Arts Educational School (Tring), as well as being invited by The Royal Academy of Dancing to teach at schools and seminars in England and abroad. Four years ago Nicola was invited to teach at London Junior Ballet, whilst continuing to teach at the Arts Educational School (Tring) Junior Associate Department. In 1998 Nicola opened her own ballet school in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire.  
     
HILARY CLARK, P.D.T.C.Dip. trained at the Rambert Ballet School. On graduating she joined the Scottish Ballet Company, performing in the major classics and new works choreographed for the Company. She returned to London and joined London City Ballet, touring extensively in the UK and abroad. In 1985 she successfully completed the Professional Dancers' Teaching Course at the RAD. She has taught at the London College of Dance, on the degree and diploma course and at Bush Davies School. As a freelance teacher she has also taught at schools including the Royal Ballet School and Central School as well as summer schools and courses in the UK and overseas.  
     
JUDITH MADEN, P.D.T.C.Dip., A.R.A.D. trained at the Royal Ballet School. She joined the Royal Ballet Company and went on to become Principal dancer. Her roles included Bluebird and Aurora in Sleeping Beauty and she was one of the original Friends in Les Deux Pigeons. Since qualifying as a teacher Judy has taught for the R.A.D., Arts Educational, Central School and on many seminars.  
     
  KEVIN RICHMOND, P.D.T.C.Dip. trained at the Nottingham Academy of Speech, Dance and Drama. On completing his training Kevin joined Dance For Everyone (TIE). In 1977 he joined English National Ballet (formerly London Festival Ballet), under the Directorship of Beryl Grey. During a period of 22 years with the Company Kevin has worked with some of the world's most distinguished choreographers including Rudolf Nureyev, Alvin Ailey, Frederick Ashton, Robert North, Kim Braundstraup, Ben Stevenson, Ronald Hynd, Peter Shaufuss and Christopher Bruce. He has taught as a guest teacher with ARC Dance Company, The Queensland Ballet School, Re-animators, Pineapple Dance Studio, Bodyworks and recently the London Studio Centre. Having retired from English National Ballet earlier this year Kevin has decided to enrol in the Professional Dancers' Teaching Course at the Royal Academy of Dancing in order to validate and extend his knowledge of classical ballet.  
     
GREGORY APOSTOLIDES MA. Dance, Dip.D.Ed. graduated in 1979 from the Victorian College of Arts (Melbourne – Australia) with a scholarship to Alvin Ailey Dance Centre (New York) where he completed integrated studies commissioned by the Department of Education, Melbourne, leading to an MA in dance. As a performer the highlights of his USA credits include “Thriller” (Michael Jackson). Upon his return to Australia he performed with the Sydney Dance Company before embarking on a career as dance educator and Choreographer. As educator, Gregory has held the post of senior lecturer, director of dance and curriculum advisor to the Arts Board of The Australian Council and to the Ministry of Dance Education. In 1992, Gregory arrived to London and began working as a freelance teacher;- Hammond, Elmhurst, Italia Conti, Royal Ballet School, Royal Academy of dancing, Arts Educational. In 1997 Gregory was offered the post of Director for Dance Education and Training at Performers College where his achievements led to the college regaining CDET status. Returning to freelance work in 1999, Gregory’s teaching commitments extend to Masters College, Central School of Ballet and the Alvin Ailey School.
